Scm Group has been awarded the Excelsa – Romagna Award 2021, an initiative sponsored by Confindustria Romagna to emphasise the merits of its member companies which, thanks to the work they do, have demonstrated a superior capacity to generate collective, widespread well-being.
The latest edition, whose awards were held on 28 September at MarePineta Resort in Milano Marittima (RA), took into consideration the unprecedented period of 2020, bringing to the forefront the success stories of businesses that, despite the difficulties faced during the pandemic, distinguished themselves with their economic performance and sustainability projects. The award was collected by the Scm Group President, Giovanni Gemmani.
The awarding of the Excelsa 2021 prize to Scm Group took into consideration the added value of the Corporate Social Responsibility project launched by the Group at the start of 2018 with the involvement of voluntary employee groups whose ideas gave rise to socially and environmentally sustainable innovative projects in favour of the areas in which Scm Group works both in Italy and around the world. Projects aimed at improving the quality of life inside and outside the company and promoting healthier, responsible lifestyles that respect the environment.
One of the projects that received particular acclaim was the Scm Group Social App, the corporate social network that, particularly during lock down and with the restrictions on travel and live events caused by the pandemic, allowed employees from all over the world to have a space where they could interact and partake even remotely. Established despite the health crisis, this space continues to involve a growing number of employees from every continent where they can exchange news, information and opportunities of use in the everyday working life of each one of them.
