SMAU Innovation Award to Scm Group
31/10/2024Scm Group won the Smau 2024 Innovation Award for its “Solutions Library” project.
Digital transformation and open innovation, key themes of the edition held in Milan on October 29 and 30, are also the concepts behind this new service designed and developed by Scm Group: a library of technical solutions for employees and customers, which uses artificial intelligence to process the company's technical knowledge, classify it dynamically, and make it available to those who need it in the manner and time required.
The purpose of the project, which is part of the group's digital transformation program, is to process and enhance the wealth of knowledge gained from more than 70 years of experience in woodworking and other materials processing technology.
Collecting the award for the group was Alessandra Benedetti, Digital Transformation&Business Remodeling Director, who explained the goals and benefits of the new winning project during the Live Show “Innovative Tools to Support and Enhance Employees' Work.” “Solutions Library is part of a broader strategic plan – said Benedetti – to offer customers not only the product, but also valuable software services to build an ongoing and shared relationship”.
An example of innovation that highlights how digital technologies can transform business models, creating value also from a sustainability perspective.
Smau was also an opportunity to network with players and stakeholders in the made in Italy innovation ecosystem. With Sara Iaconianni, Scouting&Idea Generation Manager, and Lorenzo Monti, Digital Projects Manager, the group participated in Startup Safari to explore ideas and potential open innovation opportunities.
