LIGNA 2023: SCM'S INNOVATIONS UNDER THE SIGN OF AUTOMATION AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

The countdown has begun for the new edition of Ligna, to be held at the Hannover Messe from 15 to 19 May 2023.

People, technology, and innovation are the three key concepts of the event that will once again bring together in person the entire international woodworking supply chain after a four-year stop due to the pandemic.

Therefore, there is great excitement as shown by the numbers illustrated at the Press Preview on 16 February: more than 1100 exhibitors, over 105 thousand square metres of exhibition space and an estimated 75 thousand visitors, ready to explore the most innovative technologies and current and future trends in the sector.

SCM is preparing for this edition as a protagonist, with a total exhibition area of more than 3000 square metres between Hall 13, where it will be possible to visit the wide range dedicated to most application fields, and Hall 16, where the new Superfici solutions for finishing will be shown. 

A highly innovative proposal developed to support the most fashionable trends in woodworking and to the same leading topics of Ligna 2023: woodworking transformation, starting with digital transformation, the strong growth of timber construction, with particular reference to prefab building processes, and green material processing.

SCM will dedicate ample space to timber construction. New technologies, such as the “oikos xs” CNC machining centre, new HMI software and “dmc system xl”, another absolute innovation in sanding X-lam walls, will be on show at the SCM stand in Hall 13. A real journey into green building innovation will continue at the nearby stand of Randek, SCM commercial partner and specialist in innovative high-performance technologies for the prefabricated house sector. 

In line with the digital transformation of woodworking, SCM will present a wide range of new automated and connected solutions: interaction systems between man, machine, robots, software and digital services with a focus on after-sales, too. The common objective of the presented innovations is to make processes more efficient, contain costs, consumption and waste, and simplify their management, as is the case with the Smart&Human Factory, which will be presented in Hanover in two separate versions for industry and the craftsman. 
People, technology and innovation: SCM is looking forward to welcoming the woodworking supply chain and building the foundations for the sector development together. It’s Ligna again!
