The SCM Group, the world leading producer of woodworking machinery and systems, is to participate in the Holz Basel trade fair from 11 to 15 October, offering two exhibition areas (Hall 1.0 – Stands B60 and A60) where latest-generation solutions for the manufacturing of doors, windows, stairs, furniture and timber construction will be displayed.
On hand at the stand dedicated to solid wood processing will be SCM Group specialists and the ANTB team, a top CMS dealer for over 20 years and now dedicated to selling SCM, Routech and Celaschi products in French Switzerland.
Specifically, expect to see a demonstration of the 5-axis SCM Accord 25 FX machining centre, which combines high technology and ease of use. Equipped with the Matic fully-automated worktable, the 5-axis Prisma machining head and the Pro-Speed safety system, it allows the machining of a wide variety of products while requiring far shorter times for set-up and tool changes, thus optimising productivity.
Also on display at the SCM Group stand will be a wide selection of elements for wooden beams and walls, which will demonstrate the high flexibility and supreme quality of the 6-axis Routech Oikos machining centre.
SCM Group will also present the new multimedia application for machine virtualisation. An innovative and unique technology in our industry, it allows the creation of 3D interactive reproductions of any machine – in this case, solutions for Routech Oikos, Celaschi Progress, CMS Pro Evolution and DMC System will be demonstrated – which visitors could interact with using an iPad, for the first time ever.
Numerous Group products will be on display at the stand offered by Bruendler, SCM's Swiss dealer for over 20 years. A consolidated partnership which expanded further in 2016 thanks to a new development plan according to which Bruendler will market new semi-professional machines (Minimax), drilling-milling machining centres (Morbidelli and SCM), sanders (SCM Sandya), and provide an extended after-sale service covering all the Group's products and technologies.
A good 15 SCM machines are to be on display at the Bruendler stand, including the Morbidelli Author M400 machining centre with the Matic worktable and SCM Tech Z5, the Morbidelli Cyflex S drilling centre, the SCM Sandya 300 sander, along with a wide variety of the classic Minimax machines, from the universal combined Lab 300 Plus machine to the ME 35 edgebander.
